Players On Loan this Year

Although the players on loan cannot play against their parent clubs, it does give them vital experience and opportunity to play regularly. Something that may not otherwise have been possible. Manchester United’s Ben Foster also spent the season with Watford during their stay in the Barclays Premier League during 2006/07.

The system of loaning out players is nothing new, it has simply increased along with modern football clubs maintaining larger squads. By sending younger squad members out on loan, it can give the youngsters more time to develop their skills and build up their physical strength.
