On October 24, 2010, SYTYCD Canada, host, Leah Miller, announced Denys Drozdyuk as Canada's pick to win the title of Favorite Dancer in the show's third season. Denys joins Nico Archambault, winner of SYTYCD Canada Season 1 and Tara-Jean Popowich, winner of the show's second season.

Denys Drozdyuk's Biography in Brief

25 year old, Denys Drozdyuk, was born in Chernivtsky, Ukraine; makes his home in Toronto, Canada; and auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance Canada in Montreal, Canada. Denys began ballroom dancing at the young age of four, moving to Canada at age 12. He has trained in Berlin, at New York City's Juilliard, and pursued a Master's in Dance Education at New York University.

In addition to being a three-time world champion in ballroom dance, Denys is trained in contemporary, ballet, latin, afro-latin, jazz, flamenco, and tap. The Season 3 winner takes pride in his signature move, the Samba Whisk, a hip shaking action performed to keep the beat between more intricate steps.
